Pastoral Care

 

Our schoolwide values of being inclusive, safe, positive, respectful, and responsible are infused through all that we do-we expect students to carry themselves in the same manner they wish to be treated by others. 

We recognise students who demonstrate our school values. This includes: acting in a way that allows others to learn, using good manners, being respectful of others' opinions and supporting others, being helpful, cooperative, and sometimes going the extra mile, working hard and doing our best.
Students can earn incentives for demonstrating our values. We want to establish a school culture where by doing what's right receives more attention than doing what's wrong. 

Students who display negative behaviour (e.g. disrupting others, swearing, being defiant) may be given a warning, given a time-out, be placed on a daily check in, withdrawn from the activity/class for a period of time or referred to various agencies or stood down

Parents will be involved and will be notified of changes in behaviour or progress

More serious behaviour issues (e.g. violence, damage to property, theft) will result in immediate referral to the leadership team with consequences to follow. 

Where there is misbehavior on the buses, it is important for parents and students to know that the privilege of using the bus could be suspended or withdrawn.
Students who damage property are required to pay unless the damage was accidental.
